Our first full day in Bland! We attended a church service in the morning, and they were kind enough to host us for lunch. In the afternoon, we went and volunteered at a quilt house in Ceres, Virginia. They have an incredible operation run out of an old farm house. We learned about the nonprofit and lots about quilting too! We had a long, thoughtful reflection when we got back to the ministry center where we're staying. The discussion centered on the role of religion in the community. We also did some mind-mapping for the next day's activities!
